Kendal Carnley brings a wealth of diverse experiences and a profound passion for the law. Raised in a dynamic community near Houston, Kendal's early exposure to lively debates and a bustling household of his twin along with their two brothers shaped his ability to construct compelling arguments supported by sound evidence.
At Texas Wesleyan University, Kendal actively assumed leadership roles, serving as the president of the Kappa Alpha Order fraternity and as the chief justice of the Student Government Association. His advocacy skills flourished as a moot court tournament champion and an awarded speaker for the Model Arab League.
At the Texas A&M School of Law, Kendal delved deep into property law, simultaneously serving as a research assistant, contributing to the Texas A&M Journal of Property Law, and participating in the traveling moot court team. His research on intricate topics such as regulatory takings showcased his analytical skills, while his contributions to the Journal honed both his critical thinking and his writing skills. Involvement in the Moot Court Team provided practical experience, bolstering his advocacy skills, and fostering a nuanced understanding of courtroom dynamics, skills that continue to shape his practice today. Kendal is ready for the courtroom, unlike many who call themselves “litigators”, Kendal actually actually goes to trial, as well as successfully appearing before Texas appellate courts.
Since 2021, Kendal has focused his practice on commercial property tax litigation. His comprehensive knowledge spans valuation protests, exemptions, administrative hearings, and litigation for diverse commercial properties, with a particular focus on commercial real estate, including multifamily, retail, and office. Employing a meticulous approach and an unwavering commitment to achieving optimal outcomes for clients, Kendal navigates complex legal landscapes with precision and diligence.
Beyond the intricacies of property tax litigation, Kendal finds joy in traveling and attending concerts with his wife. A versatile individual, he also enjoys having fun with his guitar, appearing in community theatre productions, including musicals, participating in lively karaoke sessions, and, despite his youth, engaging in spirited games of pickleball!
