Tara Murphy is the Director of Marketing & Business Development at Gray Winston, where she leads the firm's full marketing strategy, business development initiatives, client acquisition efforts, and brand positioning. With more than a decade of experience spanning legal services, financial services, and consumer industries, Tara has built and managed growth-focused marketing programs that emphasize measurable results, operational efficiency, and long-term brand development. Her background combines strategic marketing leadership with a strong foundation in finance, allowing her to approach business development and marketing through both analytical and client-focused perspectives.
Before transitioning into legal marketing, Tara spent nearly a decade in investment banking, supporting capital raising transactions, investor communications, and strategic growth initiatives for emerging companies. She has also advised businesses across a variety of industries on marketing strategy, brand development, and customer acquisition.
Tara earned a Bachelor of Commerce from Ryerson University with a double major in Finance and Marketing Management. She also completed additional finance studies through the University of Toronto and RMIT University. Outside of work, Tara enjoys traveling, spending time with her family, and making memories with her daughter. Her unique background in both finance and marketing continues to shape her strategic approach to business growth and client development.
