Tracy Turner is one of 4 members of GWH’s executive committee and one of the most respected property tax attorneys in Texas. Tracy began her legal career practicing real estate and consumer litigation, gaining experience in both federal and state district courts. Tracy later joined John Brusniak, practicing with John for over 15 years, eventually forming Brusniak Turner, PC. before joining Gray Winston & Hart. Tracy focuses her practice on property tax litigation, creating long-lasting relationships representing a wide range of commercial property owners. She has worked with Fortune 500 companies, real estate investment firms, nonprofits, oil and gas companies, churches, and other property owners of all sizes, advocating on their behalf in complex property tax matters.

Tracy is one of a very small number of attorneys selected to participate in the State Bar of Texas Leadership Academy. She sits on the board of the National Association of Property Tax Attorneys.  Tracy is the co-author of the Texas chapter of the American Bar Association Property Tax Desk Book and is on the planning committee for the Texas Ad Valorem Legal Seminar.  Tracy is currently the Chair of the State Bar of Texas, Property Tax Section and President of the Real Property Law Section of the Dallas Bar Association.  Tracy has made presentations at the State Bar's Property Tax Conference, Ad Valorem Legal Seminar and the Institute for Professionals in Taxation. Tracy was selected as a Rising Star by Super Lawyers, having been recognized as a top-rated attorney by her peers. Like Lee Winston, Tracy is also licensed in Oklahoma and serves as the Secretary of the Oklahoma Bar's Tax Section.

Tracy was born and raised on a ranch in Falfurias, Texas.  She spent most of her youth playing tennis and ended up at one of the preeminent tennis academy’s during high school. In high school, Tracy was ranked as high as #1 in Texas and in the top 100 in the nation.  After high school she was recruited by many colleges, but the beauty of Boulder, Colorado won her over.  Tracy had spent many winters in Colorado with her family skiing, so she was excited that she would get to spend time there playing tennis for the University of Colorado. At that time, Colorado was in the Big 12, so she often returned to Texas to play against Texas universities. During college, Tracy was on the Big 12 Conference Commissioners Honor Roll every semester, a member of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, a student member of the NCAA Athletics Certification Committee and a member of Delta Delta Delta Sorority.

Tracy graduated from the University of Colorado-Boulder in 2002 with a degree in Communications.  Of course, Tracy couldn’t resist the lure of living and practicing law in Texas. Tennis continued to be a passion and she even taught tennis while working at a law firm for two years. Tracy attended the South Texas College of Law in Houston and was a member of the Phi Delta Phi Honors Fraternity.

In her free time, Tracy enjoys spending time with her husband of more than a dozen years, twin girls, and son.  They love to travel and look forward to their trips to the beach and the mountains. In her spare time, she still enjoys challenging competitive women and men in tennis, a competitiveness that helps explain her tenacity on behalf of her clients, large and small alike.
